Tuesday Nov. 10th: My computer crashed last week while I was updating the site. I forgot to redo the update after that.
We packaged our Artisan beer, Heavier Handed, yesterday. We tapped a keg at our Tap House last night and had a lot of great feed back. It was brewed with wet hops from the last field harvested for the year. We used substantially more wet hop in it than Heavy Handed. It is higher in alcohol and IBU's. Then we moved it to one of our Foudres and dry hopped the heck out of it. It is sort of a bigger IPA or smaller double IPA whichever way you want to look at it. It started shipping to stores today.
We are bottling our first batch of Northwind Imperial Stout today. It makes the whole brewery smells like coffee and chocolate. It is wonderful. Northwind will start shipping to stores tomorrow.
Also, we are also bottling a single oak cask of a previously unreleased beer tomorrow. The beer spent 18 months in the oak cask. It will only be available in 3 liter champagne bottles. It is bottle conditioned so it will not start shipping to stores until Nov. 24th. More on this as we get closer to release.
We have packaged the last batch of Heavy Handed. The hops have all been harvested in Washington. We will be packaging the last batch of Heavy Handed next week. I have listed below the hop varieties that corresponded to the lot numbers printed on the back label, just one more to come.
Hop Varieties
Lot 2549 Field 1 - Willamette
Lot 2619 Field 2 - Willamette
Lot 2719 Cascade
